I guess not feeling is the same as not crying to you

sorry for the missing posts, more projects for school, etc. doing things like making posters and fudge. who knew this was what professional school was like?!?! i am cranking out final projects for the semester like nobody's business. ok, that's sort of true, i wish i was working faster than i am, but details my friends, it's all in the details.

nothing to really report from the weekend, i hung out sat. night and watched movies that i have already seen about 1000 times.

the weather has been so great and warm. today it's raining, but i don't even care. my mood cannot be spoiled. there's something refreshing about knowing where you stand in the world, you know?

all work and no play

it's that time of the semester when i am starting to feel crazy. not crazy in a good way, just crazy. lots of final projects, some useless, some good. working on the website project- worked lots yesterday, got lots done. feeling ok about that project. yesterday was gabe's b-day so me, him and heather went to red star. i hung out for just a while and decided to head home. guess all that hard work made me tired. don't know...

oh, thanksgiving- here's what i ended up doing. um nothing... stayed home all day.

i distinctly remember dreaming about a song last night. it's a really strange feeling, i wonder what that means....

sorry for the false advertising, i know the title of this post is much more exciting than the contents.

1. i just saw one of those "sounds of the 70s" type commericals and i was instantly reminded of my love of the song "if i can't have you... " from saturday night fever. i feel like i need to start a section of this blog for my guilty pleasures. i actually would not call it a guilty pleasure b/c really i don't care if the rest of you scoff at my selections. i love that damn song. also on the list would be "don't you want me baby", i think that may be my fav. song of all time.

2. the drama seems to be settling, so i hope everyone's lives will go back to normal soon. i hear it was a full moon last week, so maybe that's what was up. at least unlike some people, i didn't end up arrested....

3. i must see walk the line this week. i think i'll go on thanksgiving since i have absolutely nothing else to do that day....

4. i need a new knitting project, something small scale, suggestions from any of the knitters in the house?

5. i watched some of pretty in pink again today on television. the scene with the simulated chat session between andi and blaine crack me up. that must have been super way high tech back then.

6. the weekend in general went ok, i feel like i dealt with some really strange crap this weekend, but i also had some really good stuff happen. i guess most things work themselves out in the end, right?

7. a friend had an arty event this weekend. it was so nice to see everyone appreciating him and his work. he's a popular guy, that one. i feel really proud to be his friend. how did i end up with such creative, awesome friends, and then there's me???

this place is making me crazy. i am trying to stop the drama, but i feel like it just keeps coming at me. i'm thinking i need a break from the drama. i need to figure something out.

busy like a bee

sorry about the lack of blogging lately. i wish i had an excuse, but i don't. the weather has turned cold and dreary, that wonderful winter season is here. i won't complain too much b/c it was at least pretty late arriving.

what else.... this weekend will be busy, snb on friday night and gabe's reception saturday night. i worked on the website assignment last night for a while. i have to say that i am pretty bored by design type work. anyway. school is at this weird point now where it's closer to the end and there are all these wacky assignments to do that involve group work and posters and skits and other stuff. i just want to get as much done sooner rather than later. i did get out of class early last night and even caught an earlier bus.

this is turning into the most boring blog post ever. sorry about that.

rich gave me a few pocket ninjas so i incorporated them into my crown. i think the tiara is what got me the privledge to draw the winning 50/50 ticket at the bowling alley. the winner gave me $4 for choosing his ticket. plus i got a free drink at red star and a free coffee yesterday....

i guess since it is now the 13th, i need to just be ok with the fact that my birthday is over. (gosh, this blog sounds so self richeous lately. sorry for that....)
had the bowling party on friday night with lee also, her birthday was saturday. tons o fun. heather baked a cake for the two of us, that's elvis out front of graceland on the cake.... sweet. i think all had a good time. there were some notable missing characters, natasha and dana mainly. i know she was super busy getting ready for handmade arcade, but we still missed her presence at the party...
my fam. is taking me to lunch today to cbw, so that'll be fun. laters.

the only thing about my birthday falling on a national holiday is that there is no chance for me to get birthday cards on my actual birthday.... thanks to those who sent ecards!

one day til veteran's day, are you kids counting down???? everyone's super busy with stuff they have to do, so i am hoping at least some people can come out bowling tomorrow night, you know, to celebrate veteran's day....
i got a hair cut today and found the way into tammi's heart- take her a mocha before she cuts my hair.... anyway. she used this super new super nice super swank $200 hair straightener on me, look at how slick my hair is in this photo. yes, i now need a $200 hair straightener.

other than that, i didn't do too much today, visiting natasha while she spun. i then got gabe and he photoed his show at dv8 for my final project for one of my classes (hence why i have the photo of chapel of seasons now, so soon it will be hanging in my high school seeming room at home). i need to get cracking on this stuff.... maybe i am wrong, but i don't feel like a slacker, yet i think i am slacking. don't know.

i have been kind of bummed about some of my experiences at school lately, i need to realize that school is probably not what the real world will be like when i re enter that real world... don't worry people, i am not quiting school. i am just a bit frustrated.

m and i discussed today the process of lying; of course we're talking about the little lies one uses to get out of work, etc, but still... i am sometimes amazed at how quickly i can construct a long story in my head.
another reason i blogged this is b/c today i had to make up a fake blog for school. i call it a fake blog b/c i made it totally unconnected to this blog so people at school would not start reading this. not that this blog is so exciting or secretive, i know it's public, but i guess i don't need people who don't really even know who i am reading this...

just so you know: jennifer love hewitt is the patron saint of veteran's day. (yes, i learned this at school. maybe i should have used my lying powers to not admit that...)

not so smart

i had to use a rhyming dictionary today. i have never felt less smart in my entire life. apparently i have no understanding of the basic concepts dictating reading, speech, etc. don't worry, i wasn't writing bad rhyming poetry, just working on a homework assignment. i was feeling kind of crap today anyway, so this some how did not lift my spirits.

i did buy some cheap shoes yesterday (under $4) so i feel pretty good about that. i'll photo them and post soon.

i have been so slacking on my homework this weekend, which is why i am home searching db tonight.

snb was last night, ok turn out, some people who returned and some new folks so that was cool. i cranked out the hat i was working on, thanks to the fact that natasha lives close by so i could grab some DPNs to work on the crown and borrowing a safety pin from someone else to sew up the top. i will photo soon.

went out with gabe and heather afterwards and ran into someone i knew a long time ago. so strange.... it was nice to see him and catch up. he's even more successful than when i knew him back in the day- he def. has the skills to pay the bills....if you know what i mean.
gosh, i feel terrible to report nothing more... i may have to start making stuff up.

here's a few bit of new info:
1. michele is still in town, back from philly. there will be breakfast tomorrow.
2. hung out with natasha while she made some crazy ass yarn.
3. stitch and bitch is tomorrow night- rock! i am hoping natasha will have to time to join us. hint hint.
4. i registered for the spring term. there is not the common "information" term that plagued my schedule this semester.
