snow day...maybe??

urgh, tried to post this before, but didn't work.
so i am home from work today b/c of snow. we'll i guess the snow is slowly creeping up here, and we'll see if we get the 6-10 inches predicted, why are they not so good at predicting snow down here??? i don't know. it is a bit difficult for me b/c i need to make the decision if i can/ am able to go to work very early. i catch my commuter train around 6 so i get out of bed around 5 AM. the train i take does not have service in the middle of the day, so if i go to work, i am there until 413 PM, so if you feel sick or want to get home, it's nearly impossible. oh the commuter lifestyle... so this am i got up, got ready for work, went to the train station, waited with the other three people who were there and then at the last minute decided to head home, i just did not want to be stuck in dc today. so i have had a coworker email me one of the documents i use so i can get a few things accomplished today, well hopefully.
as i look at that snow photo and the sight of our block style apartment buildings i am becoming depressed...

do you know how hard it is to photograph both of your hands at the same time???

you know when you get something like a shirt or skirt and you feel like you could wear it all the time and be happy, that's the way i feel about these awesome shoes. i got them about a month ago, and now i am buying clothes to match the shoes. ex: i am going to m's brother's wedding next month, and i felt that it was essential to buy a skirt to match these shoes. i think it's official, i am in love with the shoes...

yarn rocks!

yarn yarn everywhere...
this is some yarn that i bought at the fantastic knitting store in ligonier last monday (with natasha). the store is called kathy's kreations (http://www.kathys-kreations.com) and they stock really high quality yarn that is all so amazingly beautiful.
natasha and i had such a fantatsic time in ligonier, we are going to move there and live in huge amazing historical homes... yeah. so this weekend, i plan on working on the legwarmers from sn'b and then also these arm warmers that i saw on craftster.
now that i have a digital camera, i can post fun photos like this all the time, woo hoo!!

Vegas, baby...

also, some people have asked about the playing card wreath i made from the budget living magazine... i used playing cards from various vegas casinos, so it has that shady vegas feel.

party like it's.....

so remember how new year's eve 1999 was supposed to be this big deal? well, natasha and i hung out and just watched tv. i was leaving for ireland a mere two days later for 4 months and i remember being totally anxious about that. we took these photos while we were partying (um, not really) like it was 1999, b/c it was, and it was soon to be y2k. anyway, good times. i wonder if we have more of the photos we took that night around some where. you gotta love the polaroids!
