um, are those horses?

already some excitment for the morning. i arrive at work today (for those who don't know, i work in upper northwest dc off of connecticut avenue, a busy street...) so i cut through this little park to the office (a block long or so) and get to the top by the office to see a security guard looking at something intently. i think do i even want to know what this is about? i look over and there are THREE HUGE DEER just hanging out in the parking circle of the building. they look like horses. there are a lot of wooded areas around my work, but still. this is amazing and really scary at the same time. two of them go into the park and one of them walks down the sidewalk, just hanging out. if i walked through that park and was met by three giant deer, i might have freaked out!! anyway. so apparently, wildlife exists in dc and not at the zoo.
