Fighting for the smallest goal: to get a little self-control/ i'm in love with that song

(the title is due to the fact that i have been listening to a combination of ted leo and the replacements. they both make me feel alive and good. no more (sort of obvious) sad bastard music for the moment. )

so the semester is really finally over for me now. work is done, school is done. sigh o relief.
(oh, one thing to note, here's a good sum up of what i learned this semester or what i wrote in my notebook yesterday after one my classes: "note to self: get a job as a bouncer". look, librarians need people skills and that's one way of getting them.....) i am trying to not freak out that one of my fall classes was cancelled and i need to find a replacement from the (not so good at all) list. urgh.


i am prepping for LA now. i picked up my suitcase from the storage unit. check. doing laundry. check. found sunscreen i bought last week. check. get my haircut tomorrow.

i am psyched to get out of town and not feel like i have anything important to be worrying about while i am gone. it's crazy, i come back and then it's back to work for the field placement and also back at my internship. short but sweet i guess. i am psyched to see m, she was in town in feb. but only for a short period so it'll be rad to hang out and go to the beach and to the short stop and photobooth it up.

anyway, must at least attempt to sort of pack a bit. my suitcase is still in p5s trunk, so there won't be real packing, just preliminary packing....

oh, the twilight show in dc is the day before the stills show in dc, y'all know i am peeing my pants over that back to back show experience.... le sigh.

i leave you with one particular thought i have had repeatedly lately, i'm not that angry, you're just not that cool (thanks stills, my sentiments exactly).
