just a normal person who likes crafting and music better than most things. i really like hand clapping in songs, a lot. hopefully one day i'll grow up to become a librarian, no seriously i do want to be a librarian... i like photobooths also. i dislike computer voices, a lot.

i'll cry my face straight through my pillow

since i can't blog these photos directly, you'll have to follow the links...
you obviously already know that the show was fantastic from my last post, but i feel obligated to give the full recap... (remember my ill faded attempt to blog about EVERY band i saw at coachella last year... yeah....)
drove down to dc/baltimore in terribly crappy weather, rain the whole way down, making it a long trip....hung out a d's for a bit and then headed to baltimore for the eating extravaganza that is the block of charles street by the charles theatre. sofi's (newly expanded it should be added) tapas teatro and the charles theatre all together..... honestly, this is one the joys of baltimore, i really love that area.... m and i used to go to tapas and to the charles back in the day (do you miss it at all?)
anyway. after nearly throwing up from eating so much, we headed to sonar, it's a pretty decent space. i guess the stills were to play the smaller room but got bumped up to the bigger room (which was better, the crowd was a bit spread out...) since they sold out the small room. the new songs are really good, i am so psyched for the new album to come out in may.
the best line from a new song has got to be: I’m into looks But I’m also into books.
there were also the obligatory oldies like lola and my fav. yesterday never tomorrows, still in love song.
i got a super cute hoodie at the show, as i will probably wear it everyday, i am sure y'all will see it soon enough; i talked to one of the guys in the band about their coming to the burgh, helping the burgh out, you know? all the guys in the band seem super nice and personable- they were just thanking people after the show for coming out. (canadian way? don't know).

the drive back yesterday was (fast and) beautiful. sun shining, sunroof open, fast driving, all good.

back to the reality today- touching 110 year old books (with bare hands....don't tell) and creating metadata. ain't it the life?
